Kay from Bedford:
"The Attendance Allowance application form I received was so overwhelming, I didn’t know where to start. But I found AAS searching on the web and they assigned a very patient and friendly Occupational Therapist to me.
She helped me step-by-step, explaining everything clearly, assuring me I was actually eligible for the Attendance Allowance and then she focused me on what information was relevant for the application and assisted me in gathering all the supporting medical documents. She then completed the form for me, by hand, which was a surprise these days. I received it completed and it was ready to sign and post. I couldn't have even attempted it without her support."
Richard from West Midlands:
“I planned to apply for Attendance Allowance myself, with the help of my eldest son who is a teacher. I wasn't aware there was any other way to apply. Certainly not to have the application done for you. But from the outset it was hard talking to my son about my deteriorating health, sharing my personal care needs was so embarrassing and awkward for me and him. I just felt so ashamed, I couldn't be open and honest with him the way I needed to be.
But then a good friend recommended Attendance Allowance Services. I was so relieved when I heard I would have a professional NHS Occupational Therapist assigned to me.
Now I felt I could start to share my detailed care needs with the level of confidentiality I needed, get it all down on paper and get the financial support I needed. The OT was so professional, sensitive and discreet. She made it easier to open up so my family and I didn’t need to feel awkward discussing my personal issues."
Gill from Glasgow:
"I struggled to fill out the form due to my arthritis. Writing was so painful, and concentrating for long periods of time on detailed Government forms was exhausting, so I kept putting it off for many months. Then I saw a leaflet talking about Attendance Allowance Services, having the application form completed by a NHS Occupational Therapist. That was perfect, someone I could talk to who would fully understood my medical condition and how it seriously affected my day to day life and my ability to stay independent at home. She highlighted some important things that I had grown so used to over the years that seemed normal to me. Because of her attention to detail I got accepted first time and for the higher rate which has been life changing for me."
Kathryn from Staffordshire:
"I was terrified of applying for Attendance Allowance, getting it wrong, I didn’t think I was eligible or deserving. Claiming any type of benefit didn’t sit right with me, I’ve always paid my own way in life and I was proud of that. My sister recommended Attendance Allowance Services and set up a free eligibility call for me with one of their registered Occupational Therapist. She was so helpful, made me feel confident that I was doing the right thing after paying my taxes for over 40 years. She gathered all the information she needed during a couple of phone calls and that was it, the form arrived completed a few days later.
I can now afford to get the help around the house I needed and the regular visits provide me with much needed company."
Barry from Devon:
“My Dad started to have falls at home and that’s the first time I had ever heard of an Occupational Therapist. We had our local NHS OT visit Dad at home and arranged for some rails, walking aids and a care line to call for help or me if he had another fall. That’s when I was told about Attendance Allowance and it could be used to pay for the care line service and other home help he would now need moving forward.
I’m very busy, traveling a lot with my work and also have family to look after, so it was many months later that I had another call from my Dad’s OT informing me his condition had taken a turn for the worse. She was surprised I hadn't already applied for Attendance Allowance for my father and recommended I get help with the application process if I didn’t have the time.
That’s when I was introduced to the application done for you service provided by Attendance Allowance Services. My dad and I had a couple of phone calls with one of their OT’s and the rest is history as they say. Effortless service, I'm ashamed to admit it, but my Dad would still be waiting for this support if it was down to me to make the application."
Jenny from Cardiff:
“My mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I was told claiming Attendance Allowance for her would be easy, a guaranteed yes from the DWP. But when I saw the application form, I just froze and panicked. I've never been good with filling out forms particular Government forms, and the thought of even reading all those questions made me feel so overwhelmed.
I had so many other things to arrange for my mum's care and Attendance Allowance was a low priority even though it would help financially with the care I was arranging.
One of the care homes we visited told me about Attendance Allowance Services and their AA form completion service, it would be one less thing I had to worry about. Their Occupational Therapist was very kind and supportive and helped fast track our AA application through the DWP first time."

Mandy from Sevenoaks:
"There was so much conflicting information online about how best to fill in the application form, but no one is willing to sit down and do it for you. I became so overwhelmed and confused for weeks not knowing which way to turn with all these so-called experts."
Then my Occupational Therapist recommended Attendance Allowance Services, she said they would do everything for me and being healthcare professionals they would increase my chances of me being accepted.
I was blown away when I found out I had been awarded the higher level. This was the third time I had applied over the past two years. I wish I had found these guys earlier. I have lost thousands in benefits that I was previously entitled to. For the first time in years I can now afford to heat my house without worrying about the bills.
Robert from London:
"Thank you so much for your help with my Attendance Allowance Application.
My review of your service
The service I received from Lisa Jacques at Attendance Allowance Services was exceptional. I found the application form to be overwhelming and confusing to fill out.
This is when the help from Attendance Allowance Services proved invaluable.
My Application was successful and I would highly recommend using Attendance Allowance Services for help with the form filling especially if you find the process to be difficult.
Mr D Robertson from Hull
When I contacted AAS for help in applying for Attendance Allowance, I was assigned Caroline Featherstonhaugh, Occupational Therapist, to help me with the application process.
I found Caroline to be kind, compassionate and very professional during the whole process. She talked me through the application form very thoroughly and made it look so very simple. Without her help, I would have found the application process very daunting so, for that, I am very grateful to her!
Once the form was completed, it was printed out and sent to me without any delay, after checking all was well, I signed the form and sent it to the DWP.
Within 6 weeks I was informed by the DWP that my application for Attendance Allowance had been successful and my first payment has been processed.
I would highly recommend Attendance Allowance Services, without hesitation, to anyone seeking help in the process of applying for this benefit!
Roger From Buckingham
All received OK, going to be useful if Government start messing things about.
Regarding my other comments re compliments. Humanity is always quick to complain but for some reason fails to praise enough. I would like to say how impressed I am with ‘attendance-allowance’ and the competence shown from the beginning of the process to obtain an allowance. I was delighted to receive notification last week that I am rewarded.
Please offer my thanks to Elaine for her cooperation and thanks to all the staff for their efficiency.
Hillary From Worcestershire
We have recently used this service to assist us to fill in the forms to claim attendance allowance. I was most impressed with the service and professionalism of the staff. I appreciate the knowledge that Occupational therapists bring to the assessment as they are able to unpick the subtleties of some of the often hidden areas of disability.
Since being awarded the attendance allowance it has made a huge difference to our quality of life. We have been able to put it towards purchasing equipment to enable my family member to retain his independence.
